TiviMate for Windows? The alternative for your PC
TiviMate is one of the most popular IPTV players, but it only exists for Android. If you want to watch on a Windows PC, you have two options: emulate Android, or use a player made for Windows.
Is there TiviMate for Windows?
No. TiviMate runs on Android devices, mainly Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV. There is no version for Windows, Mac or iPhone. Sites offering a “TiviMate download for PC” usually just hand out the Android file, or something worse.
Option 1: TiviMate in an Android emulator
An emulator like BlueStacks imitates an Android device on your PC, and you can install TiviMate inside it. It works, with some catches:
- The emulator needs a lot of memory and processing power, so video stutters sooner on weaker PCs.
- TiviMate is built for a remote. With mouse and keyboard you’re steering a TV interface.
- Windows, full screen, a second screen and media keys don’t behave like they do in a Windows app.
- Microsoft has discontinued its own Windows Subsystem for Android, so the easy route without an emulator is gone.
Option 2: an IPTV player for Windows
The simpler way is a player that runs natively on Windows. You enter the same details you use in TiviMate: an Xtream Codes login, an M3U link or an M3U file. You keep your provider and just swap the player.
That’s exactly why we built Finally: an IPTV player for Windows 10 and 11 that feels like a good Windows app, not like a TV squeezed into a window.
TiviMate and Finally compared
| TiviMate | Finally | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs natively on Windows | No, Android only | Yes, Windows 10 and 11 |
| Xtream Codes, M3U link, M3U file | Yes | Yes |
| TV guide (EPG) | Yes | Yes |
| Catch-up | Yes, if your provider offers it | Yes, if your provider offers it |
| Multiview | Yes | Yes, 2 or 4 channels |
| Recording | Yes | Not yet |
| Controls | Remote | Keyboard, mouse and media keys |
| Mini window, second screen | No | Yes |
If you watch on a TV and want to record, TiviMate is still a good choice. On a PC, a player made for Windows is more comfortable.
What Finally adds
- A tidy channel list: several playlists end up in one list (Premium), duplicate channels are merged, and every channel gets a clean name and logo.
- Pause and rewind live TV, even without your provider’s catch-up. Pausing is free, rewinding comes with Premium.
- If a stream fails, Finally switches to another source of the same channel.
- Parental controls with a PIN, in the free version too.
- Private: your playlists and logins are end-to-end encrypted. Streams go straight from your provider to you.
Switch in three steps
- 1Find your login details. They’re the same as in TiviMate. Here’s what they look like.
- 2Open Finally and add your playlist. Xtream login, M3U link or M3U file.
- 3Watch. Finally sorts the channels and loads the TV guide.
